A new and additional use of our technology is to create a kind of “magic powder” that can be sprinkled in the ocean, where it subsequently causes a drawdown effect, that pulls CO2 from the atmosphere and stores it in the ocean.
With our new reactor extension we can transform the created bicarbonate (HCO3−) further into a substance called hydrated carbonate mineral (HCM).
This HCM is like a magic powder. Once, it is poured into the ocean, it starts to dissolve quickly and causes CO2 from the atmosphere to migrate into the ocean.
