Planned at Hamburg\u2019s gas processing plant, the project brings our engineered enhanced weathering technology into the city\u2019s existing municipal and port infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>The installation is designed to use pure biogenic CO\u2082 separated during sewage-sludge gas processing at Hamburg Wasser, a stream that would otherwise be released into the atmosphere. Inside a controlled system, accelerated mineral weathering converts the CO\u2082 into dissolved bicarbonate for long-term storage in the aquatic environment. Planned on a floating pontoon on the Elbe, Project Argonaut\u2019s initial nominal capacity will be 6,500 tons of CO\u2082 per year, with the option of further modular expansion.<\/p>\n<p>The project is in development, with engineering, permitting, and site integration forming the next steps towards implementation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h1>Why It Matters &amp; Certification<\/h1>\n<div><strong>Scaling carbon removal through existing infrastructure<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Project Argonaut is designed to demonstrate how municipal infrastructure can become a platform for industrial-scale carbon removal. Building on Planeteers\u2019 earlier deployments, it brings capture and storage together in one integrated system.<\/p>\n<p>The project is intended to provide a reference for future installations at eligible biogenic CO\u2082 sources, translating controlled reactor performance into a repeatable deployment model.
